Dalit organizations protest against Union Home Minister in Chandigarh
Demand to remove him from the post by sending a letter to the President
Dalit organizations staged a strong protest against Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Sector 17, Chandigarh. The protesters demanded that Amit Shah be immediately removed from the post of Union Home Minister and a letter was sent to the President in this regard.
BR Ambedkar Joint Sangharsh Morcha, Samvidhan Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, Samvidhan Bachao Ekta Manch and Chandigarh Scheduled Caste, Tribe and Backward Class Welfare Association participated in this demonstration.
The protesters strongly condemned the statement made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah about Ambedkar. They said that Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar fought to protect the rights of all citizens of India, including women, Dalits and backward classes.
Deep anger in the community
The protesters said that after the statement of the Home Minister, there is deep anger in the Dalit community across the country, which shows how sensitive the Bharatiya Janata Party is towards the rights of Dalits and how much respect it has for Baba Saheb Ambedkar. The protest was addressed by OP Chopra, Narendra Choudhary, Bhagat Raj Tisawar, Prem Pal Chauhan, Babita Chauhan, Manju Gotam and Advocate Suresh Khuda.
