Dalit girl who went to get water in Noida, assaulted and raped

Noida. A 10-year-old Dalit girl living in Sorkha village of Police Station Sector-113 area was beaten and forcibly raped by a teenager. The police are investigating the matter after registering a report of the incident.

Media in-charge of Police Commissioner said that a woman originally from Bulandshahr district lives in Sorkha village. The victim alleges that on January 11, around 6 pm, her 10-year-old daughter had gone to collect water from the water plant located in Sorkha village. The 15-year-old son of the plant owner present in the plant started misbehaving with her. When she protested, he hit her with a water pipe and took her inside the plant.

It is alleged that the accused raped her. He said that on the complaint of the victim, the police are investigating the matter after registering a report of the incident. The media in-charge said that in this case the police have registered a case under various sections including rape, Harijan harassment and have started investigating the incident.
