Dalit girl beaten to death by bullies for plucking gram greens from the field
An eighth class student was beaten to death with sticks in Kaimur district. The bullies have been accused of murdering the girl. The girl had plucked gram greens in the field, due to which the bullies beat her so severely that the girl started vomiting blood. He died later.

Kaimur: A painful incident has come to light from Hata Nagar Panchayat of Chainpur police station area of Kaimur district in Bihar, where a man was beaten to death by bullies after he plucked vegetables in the field. Along with the student, the bullies also beat up her father and brother severely. In protest against the incident, the villagers blocked the road for hours demanding the arrest of the accused and compensation to the victim’s family.
The girl died on the spot
Regarding the incident, Jitendra Ram, father of 15-year-old deceased student Sundari Kumari, told that he also owns some land in Siwan of Nandana village, where his daughter Sundari Kumari had gone with her younger sister on Wednesday evening. Then, after seeing the vegetables in the adjacent field, she started cutting them, then the owner of the field, Ram Avtar Yadav and his son started abusing and beating her with sticks. The family members told that the bullies started pulling the girl’s dupatta around her neck, due to which her health deteriorated significantly. While running home from there, he collapsed and died on the way. On receiving information about the incident, everyone immediately reached the spot, from where the student was taken to Bhabhua Hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared her dead.
Protest by blocking the road for 6 hours
In protest against the incident, the girl’s family members and local villagers protested by blocking the road for about six hours. Later, after the persuasion of the police and administrative officials who reached the spot, the jam could be removed. Inspector Ramanand Mandal, who reached the spot of the incident, said that raids are being conducted demanding the arrest of the accused. He told that the house of the accused is locked, everyone is absconding. Bhabua sub-divisional officer, who reached the spot, said that the culprits would be arrested.
