According to reports, Ram Naresh was going home after working in his field in the Baberu area of Banda late on Wednesday evening. On the way, he asked a rickshaw-puller to drop him to his village (Saya). As the rickshaw-puller refused, an argument ensued between the two. The dispute took an ugly turn when two brothers of the rickshaw-puller also reached the spot and abused Ram Naresh.
When Ram Naresh confronted them, they attacked him with sticks and fled the scene after he collapsed. Some passersby informed the family of Ram Naresh. His family members rushed to the spot and shifted him to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
After receiving the information, the cops from Bisanda police station reached the spot and sent the body for autopsy. On the complaint of the deceased’s relatives, the police registered a case against the accused brother trio under relevant IPC sections and also booked them under SC/ST Act.
