Dalit couple assaulted, molested, case registered – Dalit Couple Assaulted

An incident of assault and molestation of a Dalit couple took place in Dholpur district. The accused is absconding since the incident. The police is trying to catch him.

Dholpur. A case of assault and molestation of a Dalit couple has come to light in a village of Angai police station area in the district. The incident is said to have happened on the day of Holi. The couple has filed a case against the accused with the police.

Circle Officer Narendra Kumar said that the victim was taking his wife and daughter to the hospital to see a doctor on March 25. On the way, we met a young man riding a bike from the village. He abused and beat the victim by using caste related words. When the wife ran to save her husband, the accused beat and molested her too. The accused absconded after threatening the husband and wife. The victim couple has filed a case against the accused at Angai police station.

Sarmathura CO Narendra Kumar said that on the complaint given by the couple, a case has been registered against the named accused. There are serious allegations against him of assault as well as molestation. The woman’s written statement is being taken. Medical examination of the injured couple has also been done. After the incident, the accused has absconded from the village. Police are continuously raiding the possible hideouts of the accused. Arrest will be made and legal action will be taken.
