Crushed face, countless injuries on the body, another minor raped and murdered in Malda, Bengal.
Kolkata: Crimes against women have increased in West Bengal for the last several days. There are continuous reports of sexual harassment and uproar in Sandeshkhali. Now the dead body of a minor girl from a tribal and economically backward family has been found in Malda area. The body of the minor girl was badly mutilated and was lying abandoned near a brick kiln. The girl had gone to school a day earlier but had gone missing after that. Family members of the minor victim have alleged that she was first raped, later murdered and the body was thrown in a brick kiln. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem. At the same time, BJP has once again targeted the Mamata Banerjee government regarding this matter.
Local police said that the exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report. He said that it is not yet clear whether the girl was raped or not.
Face badly bruised
The girl’s family members told the police that she was missing since late Thursday evening. They searched for him all night and continued till Friday. Ultimately, his body was found behind a furnace in an abandoned brick kiln. The girl’s face was badly bruised.
The family is very poor
The family said, ‘We suspect that she was first raped and then murdered. We demand a thorough investigation into this matter. We demand proper investigation in this matter. We are coming from a very poor economic background. But despite this I admitted him to a local school. I wanted him to do something after studying.
‘Every village of Bengal is Sandeshkhali’
BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya targeted Mamata Banerjee government. He wrote on Twitter, ‘How many more women and minor girls will be raped and murdered before Mamata Banerjee steps down or is ousted from the post of Chief Minister? In another case of brutal rape and murder, a Class 9 tribal student was found dead in a brick kiln in Bhabuk village of Old Malda assembly. No woman is safe in Bengal and Mamata Banerjee alone is responsible for this. He has turned every village of Bengal into Sandeshkhali.
Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has directed the state government to give compensation of Rs 3 lakh each to two women who were stripped and beaten in the open market in Malda. In July last year, two women were stripped and beaten on charges of theft at Pakuahat in Bamangola, Malda. The police swung into action after a video went viral on social media.
