Inspector Ajay Balyan, posted at Sikri police post, accused
Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Singh said on Tuesday that on Monday, a Dalit woman from a village in Bhopa police station area met him and accused Inspector Ajay Baliyan, who was formerly posted at Sikri police post in Muzaffarnagar, of rape and threatening him. He told that the woman alleges that in 2019, she had gone to Sikri police post over a property dispute with her relatives, where she met Inspector Ajay Balyan.
He kept raping by threatening to make the video viral.
According to Abhishek Singh, the complainant says that Balyan raped her on the pretext of getting her work and also made a video of the incident. The woman said in the complaint that he continued to sexually exploit her in this manner till December 2023 by threatening to make the video viral later.
If found guilty in the investigation, further action will be taken against the accused inspector.
Singh said that the investigation of the case has been handed over to Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural Area) Sanjay Singh and if found guilty in the investigation, further action will be taken against the accused Inspector. He told that Balyan is currently posted in Meerut.
