Creepy! Dalit woman gang raped on the pretext of giving lift, when she reached the police station the police threatened her and said – compromise

In Barabanki, youth committed gangrape of a Dalit woman on the pretext of giving lift by car. The woman was subjected to cruelty by tying her hands and legs throughout the night. When the woman reached the police station with a complaint, the police inspector threatened her and put pressure on her for reconciliation. After this the woman complained to the authorities.

Jitendra Kumar Maurya, Barabanki: In Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, on the pretext of giving lift, four youths kidnapped a woman from a car and committed gangrape in a house in a deserted area. After the accused slept under the influence of alcohol, the woman sought help from the police by dialing 112 over video call. After reaching the police station, the inspector threatened the victim and forced her to reconcile. On the complaint received from SP Dinesh Kumar Singh, the police hastily registered a case and arrested 4 youths.

According to the information, a Dalit woman who had come out of her house to go to her parents’ house in a village in Dewan Kotwali area was kidnapped on the pretext of giving her a lift by car. The victim woman, who reached the SP office, told that on December 24, the people in the car took her away on the pretext of dropping her from the village to Devan. His hands and legs were tied and a cloth was stuffed in his mouth. At 9 o’clock at night, all four criminals locked them in a deserted house and gang-raped them throughout the night. The SP took action on the complaint of the victim woman to Dinesh Kumar Singh. Dewan police on Thursday arrested Mughale Azam alias Riyaz, Ashraf Hussain alias Bhure, Islamuddin, Sabbu Khan, residents of Dewan area.

Help sought from police on video call

The victim woman told that after being kidnapped on the way, all four of them did wrong things in a closed room. After he slept under the influence of alcohol at around 1 o’clock in the night, I first informed my brother, after which 112 dialed police, took the location on video call and got us freed from there.

Threatened at the police station instead of help

The victim told that after being freed with the help of dial 112, the police brought him to Dewan police station. Here the woman and her husband gave a written complaint regarding the action taken in the case. It is alleged that instead of helping, Police Station Inspector Pradeep Kumar Singh kept threatening the victim and pressurizing him for reconciliation. On Thursday, when the matter reached Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh, Devan police immediately started action.

Case under sections of gangrape including SC/ST

SP Dinesh Kumar Singh said that 4 accused from the area have been arrested in the gang rape incident that took place in Dewan area. Action has been taken against Mughal Azam alias Riyaz, Ashraf Hussain alias Bhure, Islamuddin, Sabbu Khan involved in the incident under section 376/342 IPC and 3(2)V SC/ST Act.
