New Delhi: On one hand, while Congress is busy finalizing its list of candidates, entangled in the math of seat coordination with AAP, on the other hand, it has planned to intensify its campaign in Haryana. Congress is working on a strategy to finalize its manifesto and launch it soon. The leaders have already started talking about the issues the party is raising in the current assembly elections. While regional leaders are continuously touring for campaigning on behalf of Congress, on the other hand, from the national leadership of the party to the players of the state with similar ideology, everyone will be seen asking for votes.
Congress will put forth its point from door to Chaupal
Congress has started its campaign. On one hand, the party is campaigning by going door to door, telling the public about the issues related to the ground. On the other hand, Chaupal Jatha is being organized in view of the importance of Chaupal in the social life of Haryana, especially in the villages. The issues that the prominent leaders of Congress are raising in their campaign among the people, talking about them, the party has planned that it will take it to the ground level. It will work to explain them from cities to villages. This work will gain momentum.
Top leadership will create an atmosphere through campaigning
Congress’s top leadership will also campaign in Haryana. These include Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. According to an important source of the party, Priyanka Gandhi will hold approximately 16-18 rallies. While Sonia Gandhi will hold a huge rally. This rally will be held in the middle of Haryana in Panipat, Kurukshetra or any such place from where the whole state can be covered. The place and day of this rally have not been finalized yet. At the same time, according to an important strategist of the party, the date and program of campaigning of Kharge and Rahul Gandhi is still being deliberated. Rahul will do everything from rallies to road shows. Fellow wrestlers will campaign for Vinesh Apart from these, on behalf of Congress, women wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia, like-minded athletes, wrestlers and sportspersons will also campaign. It is worth mentioning that Vinesh, who recently joined the Congress, is in the fray from Julena seat. Apart from her fellow wrestler Bajrang, other colleagues will also come and campaign for her in Julena. According to sources, these players will be from Haryana as well as other states. While the party has planned to field Vinesh and Bajrang for campaigning on many other seats. Congress is understanding that through the faces who were against BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the female wrestler harassment case, Congress can give a signal to the Jats, especially the players and their families, the people of the villages. Those faces will help in bringing out the resentment against BJP.
Congress will raise these issues
Congress has to answer BJP, we will give old age pension, we will give employment to every household, etc. Apart from these, Rahul Gandhi’s Mohabbat Ki Dukaan will also be promoted. The work on the manifesto is in its final stages. In this, issues like old pension scheme, inflation, unemployment along with issues related to farmers will be important.
Haryana Congress is not in favor of going with AAP
The talks with AAP in Congress may be entangled on seats, but the state leadership of Congress is not in favor of going with AAP. According to sources, AAP is demanding 18 seats for itself out of 90 seats in Haryana, which is not acceptable to Congress. It has been learnt that AAP has come down to 16, whereas if they insist more, they can agree to 12-13, but Congress is not ready to give more than 4-5 seats. A Congress leader said that we cannot fulfill such a demand. If we give so many seats, there will be chaos here. The candidate who has been working hard in his area for years cannot be ignored.
