Cm Mamta surrounded by minorities and Dalits PM to address women’s conference on March 6 – Amar Ujala Hindi News Geo Tv News
Mamata, who was once the TMC chief, ended the more than three-decade rule of Left parties in the state by using the Nandigram farmers’ movement as a political weapon. BJP is now planning to weaken the TMC rule in the state and make Sandeshkhali the second Nandigram of the state.

The women who were raped and sexually assaulted in Sandeshkhali belong to the Dalit community, which constitutes one-fourth of the state’s population. The tone of the court is very strict on this matter. Human Rights Commission, Scheduled Caste Commission, Women’s Commission and Scheduled Tribe Commission have sent their respective teams here.
After the harsh tone of the court and the activity of various commissions, some leaders of TMK have been arrested in this case, although the main accused in the case, Shahjahan Sheikh, is still absconding. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a women’s conference near Sandeshkhali on March 6.
The PM program causes increased anxiety
For the past two weeks, politics has been heated in the state over the Sandeshkhali incident. Here, the women of the Dalit community have become victims of TMK workers. This is why the Prime Minister’s rally has been organized near Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas. Obviously, since it is a women’s conference, PM Modi also mentioned the Sandeshkhali incident while counting ten years of his government’s achievements in women empowerment. Why is the CM problem so big? : The share of Muslim voters in the state is 28 percent. The Left parties, which were in power for more than three decades, also had a Muslim-centric policy in the state. To retain power, Mamata Banerjee has adopted the same model of politics. The problem this time is that the women who are victims of abuse in Sandeshkhali are from the Dalit community, whose share in the community is about a quarter of Muslims.
Bengal government on the back foot
Earlier, the Mamata government did not take the Sandeshkhali incident seriously. Women who were victims of harassment and sexual violence were not taken into account. The BJP claims that due to this, sensitivity was not taken regarding the incident as the accused in the sexual assault are not only TMC workers but also belong to the minority community. But after the strong stand of the court, the Mamata government was forced to arrest the accused in the incident.
Women and media workers are safe in Bengal
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that women in West Bengal do not feel safe and now members of the media also feel unsafe. The manner in which the journalist was arrested and detained in Sandeshkhali is reprehensible.
