Chouhan hits out at RaGa on caste census
Bhopal: Union minister for agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday took on Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi for trying to “create differences” in society through his caste census propaganda.
“Pehle rashtra, phir caste. Rahul Gandhi, kitna batoge Bhai (First nation, then comes caste. Rahul Gandhi, how much are you going to divide Brother)?” Shivraj Singh Chouhan said speaking to reporters here in the Madhya Pradesh capital.
Recently, while campaigning in Maharashtra, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi reiterated the party’s promise of a caste-based census and removing the 50% quota restriction. Chouhan alleged, “These are the people who divide the country. They are the people who create differences. They are not well-wishers of the country. For votes, they criticize the nation in foreign countries. They have never been benevolent of the nation. I want to tell Rahul Gandhi today, that this country has given all its citizens the same place in its heart. We are all children of Bharat Mata and there is no question of any discrimination.”
Chouhan argued that the BJP govt at the Centre has worked on social justice for the weaker sections of society. “If social justice has been done, whether to OBCs, scheduled castes and tribes, even the poor of the general category, then it has been implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP govt. People who want to divide will never be successful. If you unite, you will win,” he said
