Chandigarh: Will work for Dalit society: Jasvir Singh Garhi
Chandigarh: Former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Punjab unit president Jasvir Singh Garhi on Wednesday joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann at his Chandigarh residence. He told IANS that his goal would be to work for the Dalit community in the state.
Jasvir Singh Garhi, while talking to IANS, thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Sandeep Pathak and Arvind Kejriwal. While joining AAP, my only condition was that work should be done for the Dalit community and people belonging to the lower class of Punjab, fight for them and make policies in their favor. Banga MLA Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi, who was earlier in Shiromani Akali Dal, said, “I have been associated with Aam Aadmi Party for the last five months.
The way of working and thinking of Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann impressed me. I told Jasvir Singh Garhi that Aam Aadmi Party is the future of tomorrow in Punjab, join them. Whatever Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar wanted to do for the welfare of the people, they can do this work by joining AAP. “
Regarding the impact of other leaders joining Aam Aadmi Party on the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi said, “If good people join Aam Aadmi Party, then it will definitely have an impact on the Delhi Assembly elections. People associated with the party have risen from very low. People know them and their work, so it will definitely have an impact on the Delhi Assembly elections.” TAGS
