Chandigarh: Aspiring to become a cop this transgender sets examples for all
Chandigarh News: Fearing discrimination and hate from the society, most of the Transgenders live in the dark hiding their insecurity and fear, forget the issue of being independent, they are almost barred in every section of the community. Setting an example for all, 24 year old Saurav Kittu wanted to apply for the post of a cop in Chandigarh Police received a shock when she didn’t see the column of a Transgender in the advertisement.

‘I am thankful to the law for allowing me to pursue my dream’
That couldn’t stop her from pursuing her dream, Saurav Kittu approached the High Court and after observing the matter the Judge found her qualified for the selection and directed the Chandigarh Police to allow her to apply for the post. Hearing the news, the petitioner immediately applied for the post.
‘I want to work for our Community’
Kittu says I want to apply for the post of cop since the department has no one to deal with the problems of Transgenders. If I get selected, more Transgenders will be encouraged to apply for Government jobs.
