Call for action after Dalit student’s injury in Srikakulam

Visakhapatnam: Bahujan Welfare Association general secretary Kottapally Venkataraman has demanded immediate action against Telugu teacher Nagari Arun Kumar following the incident in which a Dalit student Chenna Kumar suffered a serious eye injury at Paddy Bhimavaram ZP High School in Srikakulam district.

During a media conference, Venkataraman criticised the teacher’s negligence in ensuring timely medical treatment, which he believes worsened the student’s condition. He expressed disappointment over the inaction of local officials, including the Srikakulam district collector and DEO, who have failed to address the situation.
