In village Danaksha in Saiya, Agra, on Tuesday night, a family of the village attacked a Dalit family when they stopped them from harvesting the millet crop standing in the field. Allegations are that they were beaten with sticks and iron rods. Firing was also done. No case was registered on complaint to the police.
According to Ramkishan, a resident of village Danaksha, he was harvesting millet crop in the field on Tuesday. Allegations are that Jagdish, Bhudev, Devkinandan and others came. They tried to harvest the crop. Firing was done on protest. Ramkishan narrowly escaped in this. When the family members tried to stop them, they attacked them. Four bikes were broken. The accused left after threatening. Police reached after a long time on getting the information.
Ramkishan says that he got injured after being hit by an iron rod on his head. Despite this, the police did not take any action. Even after going to the police station, there was no hearing. 6 members of the family were injured. The police station in-charge said that a complaint has been filed by Ramkishan and Jagdish in this case. Both the parties have been injured. Action will be taken after investigation.
