BJP’s OBC Morcha fetes 47 berths to dalits
Hyderabad: Members of the BJP’s OBC Morcha on Monday celebrated the formation of the third Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre with 27 ministers belonging to Other Backward Classes in the 72-member ministry.
A large number of Morcha activists led by its president Anand Goud descended at the party offices and celebrated the formation of the third Modi government. They garlanded the portrait of Prime Minister Modi and distributed sweets for inducting a large number of ministers from the OBC communities in the new Council of Ministers.
Conveying their wishes to newly-inducted ministers, Goud said Modi had, during the Lok Sabha election campaign, stated that those who had been disadvantaged for last 60 years had the first right on the country’s resources.
As per the Prime Minister’s conviction of people of the OBC, SC and ST community having the first claim on the country’s resources, he had inducted 47 members from downtrodden sections including 27 OBC ministers, Goud said.
Goud said the OBC, SC and ST communities were the most affected during the Congress rule. These communities faced a lot of hardships in last 60 years and Modi had made the uplift of these families his priority. Many members of these sections have benefited from Garib Kalyan Yojana for last 10 years, he said.
