BJP says Cong targeting edu min Dilawar as he is Dalit
Jaipur: BJP on Thursday denounced actions of Congress MLAs who stopped school education minister Madan Dilawar from expressing his views in the legislative assembly. The saffron party said the minister was being targeted because he was a Dalit.
BJP general secretary and Khandar MLA Jitendra Gothwal said, “Congress MLAs are leveling unfounded accusations against minister Dilawar, alleging that he has offended the sentiments of the tribal community. They are deliberately creating pandemonium when he endeavors to articulate the stance of his department or the party, which exposes their anti-Dalit mindset.”
Gothwal said that a political party which engages in politics of appeasement cannot tolerate the fact that a Dalit community member has become the education minister.
During the assembly proceedings on Thursday, Congress MLAs persistently denied Dilawar the opportunity to voice his opinions. tnn
