Firozabad: A minor Dalit girl was trapped in a love trap by a youth from West Bengal in the district, and then raped by threatening her. During the encounter, the accused was shot in the leg, due to which he got injured and has been admitted to the district hospital.

According to the information, the family of the minor Dalit girl living in the North police station area of ??the district had lodged an FIR in Kotwali North on August 25. In which the victim’s family had told that Mehtab Alam, a resident of Hooghly district of West Bengal, used to call her minor daughter. 24 One day, Mehtab lured her daughter with his words and then called her on 24th August and intimidated her and had physical relations with her in a hotel. He also threatened to kill the victim if she told anyone. Later, the accused youth fled after leaving the girl in Atal Park.

SP City Sarvesh Kumar Mishra said that a case was registered in the matter. The police started searching for the accused. On Sunday night, the police got information that Mehtab Alam is present near Bendi culvert, who is trying to escape somewhere. Based on this information, when the police surrounded the accused, the accused opened fire on the police. In the retaliatory firing, Mehtab Alam got shot in the leg, he was arrested in an injured state and admitted to the hospital. The accused has confessed his crime. Legal action is being taken against the accused.
