Begusarai: Begusarai Love Jihad: In the case of Love Jihad in Begusarai, Bihar, the police took prompt action and recovered the girl from Dalit community and the accused Mohammad Asif from Samastipur district. It is noteworthy that this case came to light four days ago from Saroja village of Veerpur police station area.
In which the villagers and local people as well as the Begusarai MP cum Union Minister had said that a girl from the Dalit community had been lured away by a youth of one community on the pretext of marriage and after this the matter had gained full steam. In the said case, along with the local MP, the villagers had also threatened to protest.
After coming to the notice of the matter, the police took immediate action and formed a special team on the instructions of SP Yogendra Kumar and started research using scientific techniques. Then Mohammad Asif was recovered along with the girl who had run away from Samastipur district. However, even after his arrest, Mohammad Asif refused to say anything in front of the media and kept making various excuses.
SP Yogendra Kumar said that both the boys and girls are adults. At present they have been detained and are being interrogated. The girl’s statement under Section 164 will also be recorded before the court and action will be taken on the basis of the girl’s statement only.
It is noteworthy that the villagers had earlier also complained about the disappearance of four girls from Saroja locality of Veerpur police station area. In this regard, SP Yogendra Kumar said that these points are also being investigated by the police and appropriate action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
