Ballia News: Dalit girl first raped and then threatened to kill her

Ballia News: A youth from the same village has been arrested for raping a Dalit girl in Bairia area of Ballia district. Police sources, quoting the report lodged on Thursday, said that a 22-year-old Dalit girl, resident of a village in Bairiya police station area, was raped by Lagan Dev Yadav (34), a resident of her village, on March 7 and when she told anyone, Threatened to kill. He said that on Tuesday, on the complaint of the girl’s mother, a case was registered against Yadav on charges of rape and threatening and he was arrested on Wednesday. Sources said that the police is investigating the matter.

Bounty criminal injured in encounter with police, arrested

A rewarded criminal was injured in an encounter with the police in Motigarpur area of Sultanpur district. He has been arrested and admitted to the hospital. Police sources said that during a routine inspection in Motigarpur area on Wednesday night, when the police tried to stop two people on the basis of suspicion, they opened fire on the police team. The police retaliated in which one rewarded criminal was shot in the leg and the other criminal, Akhand Pratap, escaped taking advantage of the darkness. The police surrounded him and arrested him in Jaisinghpur area. He said that the miscreant who was injured by the bullet has been identified as Man Singh, a resident of Gosaiganj police station area. A reward of Rs 15 thousand was also announced on him. He has been arrested and admitted to the hospital. Police area officer Prashant Singh said that Man Singh and his associate Akhand Pratap were wanted in the case of robbery at a petrol pump. He said that legal action is being taken in the matter.
