After this incident, the relatives of the woman lodged a complaint with the police against the accused nursing staff. Police registered a case against them.

Finally, after about five hours, the relatives took out the earrings of these nurses. After that the delivery is done. But at this time the child died in the womb. When the relatives came to know about the matter, riot started in the hospital. After this, the hospital authorities stepped in and reassured the people.

The woman has been in pain for five hours
The relatives said that the woman was taken to the hospital when labor pains started. He was moaning in pain. Despite the urge, the hospital staff stopped her delivery. Relatives said that their child’s life could have been saved if delivered on time. In-charge Medical Officer Suresh Ram and BDO Pradeep Kumar Das reached the spot on hearing the commotion. After talking to the victim’s family, he issued a show cause notice to both the nurses. On the other hand, a case has been filed in the police station on the complaint of the family members.

BJP demanded dismissal
BJP is attacking dalit families over this shameful incident in government hospital. BJP leader and state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev, who reached Herhanj block, demanded registration of criminal cases against both the ANMs and their immediate dismissal from service. He said that the delivery of a daughter of a Dalit family was stopped for five hours just for money, it is a very serious matter. He demanded a judicial inquiry into the matter.
