Attempt to burn face after gangrape with Dalit in UP’s Azamgarh
Azamgarh. There was a stir in the police department after a sensational case of gang-rape and face burning of a Dalit girl came to light near Pokhre of Pushp Nagar of Didarganj police station area on Wednesday. In a hurry, top officials reached the spot and after investigating the incident, three suspects were taken into custody and interrogated. While four teams of police are engaged in search of the main accused.
On Wednesday morning, at around 10.30 am, information was received on Dial 112 that a young woman is lying unconscious in a naked condition near Pokhari of Pushpnagar under Didarganj police station area and an attempt has been made to burn her face. As soon as the police got this information, there was a stir in the department. Forensic team including Superintendent of Police, SP Rural reached the spot. The girl was admitted by the police to the District Women’s Hospital for treatment.
At the same time, Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya said that as soon as he got the information about the incident at 10:30 in the morning, he himself reached the spot along with the field unit. Important evidence has been collected from the spot. The incident of raping the girl was carried out in the night. The condition of the girl is fine, her statement has been videographed. In this case, three people are being taken into custody and interrogated.
There is a black spot on the face of the victim, in respect of which the medical opinion of the doctors is being obtained. The same main accused, Dabboo Rajbhar, is also an acquaintance of the victim’s brother. Four police teams have been formed for his arrest and a case is being registered.
