Ambedkar Nagar News: Three years imprisonment for Dalit harassment
Ambedkar Nagar. In a case of assault and Dalit harassment, Special Judge SC ST Act Rambilas Singh has sentenced the accused to three years of simple imprisonment. The case is related to Alappur Kotwali area in the year 2016.
In the case filed, plaintiff Ramsingar said that he is working as a Revenue Inspector in Alappur. Due to the death of his elder brother, he had gone to Chahoda Ghat with his family and villagers for cremation. During this time, Rakesh Yadav, a resident of Lakhmipur, came with his companions and beat his sons Brijbhushan and Shishir with sticks. He also fired a deadly attack from a weapon. The police had registered a case against the accused and sent him to jail. These days the accused was on bail. Meanwhile, completing the hearing of the case, the Special Judge sentenced him to three years of imprisonment.
