Ambala News: Life imprisonment for raping a Dalit minor
Ambala City. The special POCSO court has given life imprisonment to the accused for kidnapping, holding hostage and raping a Dalit minor. Additional Sessions Judge Manpal Ramavat, after hearing the case, has sentenced the accused to life imprisonment under the POCSO Act. Along with this, a fine of Rs 26,000 has also been imposed on the accused under various sections. In case of not paying the fine, the accused will have to undergo an additional imprisonment of three months.
In fact, two years and eight months ago, the accused kidnapped the minor and raped her. Trials were held in this, many witnesses were heard. In this, the court has now imposed a sentence of 20 years and a fine of Rs 10,000 under the POCSO Act, life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 under the SC ST Act. Similarly, the court has imposed a sentence of two years and a fine of Rs 5,000 for kidnapping, six months’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 for holding hostage.

A Dalit woman living in an area of ????Narayanagarh lodged a complaint in Narayangarh police station that her youngest daughter is mentally retarded. She has gone somewhere on 4 March 2022. The police registered a case on this complaint. The police investigated the matter and caught three accused. In which the main accused told during interrogation that he knows the victim’s daughter and took her to the crematorium by luring her with him. There he raped her by feeding her intoxicating pills. Another accused also saw this incident. At the same time, the third accused was also standing some distance away from the spot. After this, the main culprit locked the victim’s daughter in the bathroom of the crematorium itself. As soon as the victim’s family reached the crematorium searching for the girl, the accused fled from here.
