Aligarh: Eggs thrown at wedding processions of Dalit daughters, police registered a case

The incident happened on Thursday night. The marriage of two daughters of late brother Dharam Singh of Raju alias Rajveer, who lived in Noorpur village of Tappal police station, was fixed. Among them, the procession of elder daughter Babita reached Dankaur in Gautam Budh Nagar and the procession of younger daughter Neelam reached Nurpur from Khareli in Dankaur itself. The first procession reached the pavilion, but as soon as the second procession reached the village’s Attari road, some youths started throwing eggs at the procession. It is alleged that during this time anti-social elements also used caste words.

It is alleged that anti-social elements did not even spare the groom, eggs were thrown at him too. It is being told that there was a lot of uproar on opposing this. A crowd of villagers gathered on the spot. As soon as the villagers informed the police, the police reached the spot and registered a case against four youths of a particular community. The names of the youths against whom the case has been registered are being told as Ansar, Shahrukh, Amjad, Saua.
Appeal not to spread rumors
According to SSP Kalanidhi Naithani, there is peace in the village. An appeal has been made not to spread rumours on social media. The police is also currently examining the CCTV footage. A large number of police forces have been deployed in the village. According to the local people, such incidents have come to the fore in the village in the past as well.
