Agra News: Discussion of settlement in the case of suicide of Dalit youth
Kasganj. Now there is a discussion of settlement in the case of suicide of a Dalit man in village Salempur Bibi of Soronji. It is being discussed that the family has been assured of five bighas of land and three lakh rupees in the name of not taking any action.
Let us tell you that on Monday morning, Ramesh Diwakar, resident of village Salempur Bibi Soronji, committed suicide by hanging himself. The deceased’s wife Ramrati had alleged that her husband was publicly beaten up by constable Vikram Chaudhary and Bahadur during the Ramlila performance.
Due to this, her husband hanged himself in remorse. She also gave a written complaint to register an FIR against the accused constables. However, the police did not register the report even after three days and started managing the case. Now there is a discussion that a settlement has been reached between the police and the family in this case.
In this, the family has been assured of five bighas of land and money for not taking any action. The deceased’s son-in-law Rohtash said that he has been assured of a lease of five bighas of land and three lakh rupees. He has been told that this work will be done by making him meet the SDM. If this does not happen then we will demand action against the constables.
