Administration should take immediate action by lodging an FIR under SC ST Act against the miscreants who blocked the path of Dalits in Tukbera: Shatrughan Kumar Shatru

Shatrughan Kumar Shatru, founder and central president of Jharkhand Kranti Manch, while addressing a press conference in Medininagar today, said that he strongly condemned the inhuman act of Bablu Pandey, son of Vindhyachal Pandey, who cut the path of about 50 Dalit households of Dalit Tola of Tukbera village of Nawabazar block from the non-cultivable land (police station no. 137, account no. 1, plot no. 285, area about 225 acres) for the last 60 years by using a JCB and blocking the path by fencing it with wire forever. He said that Superintendent of Police Palamu, Smt. Rishma Rameshan ji should personally intervene and investigate the matter and take strict legal action against the accused by lodging a case under relevant sections of SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act. Should be done.

While addressing the press, he said that on 26/6/2024 at 8:00 am, Mr. Ajit Pandey alias Bablu Pandey (village-Rajhara), along with unknown persons, in three vehicles, using JCB machines, on the strength of weapons, abused the Dalits with caste-specific abuses and intimidated them, and despite heavy opposition by the Dalit people, cut the years old path and surrounded it with net and iron rods, which is a condemnable act. In the conversation, the JKM President has said that the land of the above mentioned Khata-Plot situated right next to NH98, on which Section 144 has been imposed in the court of Sadar SDO Medininagar through Miscellaneous Case No. 135/2023 to remove the encroachment of big influential encroachers to build a stadium, today the police of SC ST police station is being misled by the accused by calling the same land as Raiyati, the investigation of which is being said to take more than 15 days by the police station in-charge Shri Narayan Soren? Whereas the entire Tukbera Panchayat residents know that the road which Shri Bablu Pandey has cut and surrounded by showing his dominance, the same road has already been constructed by the head of Tukbera Panchayat, Shri Vinod Vishwakarma. If that land belonged to Shri Bablu Pandey, then why did he not oppose the construction of the road in his alleged Raiyati land at that time?

Addressing the press, he said that in Nawabazar region, due to gross inaction of land revenue officials/ Amin/ CI/ CO etc. and their connivance with encroachers, large amounts of uncultivated land available in panchayats like Rabda and Tukbera, where high schools, colleges, health sub-centres, stadiums etc. could have been built, people are either illegally building permanent houses on those lands or have occupied them by fencing them. Certainly, by getting tempted, the corrupt employees and officials are promoting government terrorism by handing over such uncultivated lands to encroachers, which will be disastrous for the infrastructure development of the future developed Jharkhand. At the end of the discussion, he said that if the administration does not take strict action by registering an FIR under SC ST Act in the above case and does not remove the encroachment from the path of Dalits, then a movement will be started soon.
