Dalit organizations could not meet CM Jai Ram Thakur, so the administration changed the route of the Chief Minister
Himachal News: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was about to visit Sadar and Haroli assembly constituencies during a one-day tour of Una district. In the morning session, the Chief Minister was going to leave for the program to be organized at Pobowal in Harauli assembly constituency after the program organized under the Cooperative Week at Mehatpur-Basdehra. The Chief Minister’s convoy was to leave through Santoshgarh, but just before that, Dalit organizations made a plan to show black flags to the Chief Minister at Virbhadra Chowk in Santoshgarh. However, to stop the Dalit organizations, the district administration also made a lot of respect.

In protest against the funeral procession that started from Shimla, Dalit organizations raised slogans in solidarity with the Chief Minister at Virbhadra Chowk since morning and raised the demand of the Chief Minister to stop the funeral procession. Meanwhile, several rounds of talks were also held between the district administration and Dalit organizations to talk to the Chief Minister. But due to continuous protests by Dalit organizations at Virbhadra Chowk till around 2:15 pm, the district administration has changed the route of the Chief Minister from Santoshgarh to Baya Haroli Rampur bridge.
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who arrived in Una on a one-day visit, was about to visit Pobowal in Haroli assembly constituency after participating in the program organized under the Cooperative Week at Mehtpur Basdehra. Due to which Dalit organizations in Santoshgarh had announced to hold talks with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and show black flags if talks are not held. At the same time, the district administration changed the route of the Chief Minister on this occasion, due to which the plans of Dalit organizations to show black flags to the Chief Minister were abandoned.
At Virbhadra Chowk in Santoshgarh town, Dalit organizations raised slogans against the funeral procession for showing black flags to the Chief Minister. But at the last moment the district administration changed the route of the Chief Minister from Santoshgarh to Rampur in Una. Due to which the plans of the Dalit organizations were left in abeyance. On the other hand, the district administration also deployed a large number of police forces at Virbhadra Chowk to stun the Dalit organizations standing on the other side.
