Noida News: Last rites of Dalit youth amid tension, three accused arrested
Case of murder of youth in Bhikanpur village of Rabupura Kotwali area, police sweated to control the crowd during the last rites

Rabupura. Kamal (26), who lost his life in a dispute over soil blowing from a tractor-trolley in Bhikanpur village, was cremated on Saturday morning. The situation was very tense during the last rites. The crowd tried to burn the office of the accused, but the police stopped them. Seeing the tension, police force has been deployed in the village. At the same time, the police have arrested three more accused. So far six accused have been caught.
According to the police, on Friday morning, there was a dispute between two parties in Bhikanpur village over soil blowing from a tractor-trolley and falling on the car. Rajat Sharma and Pramod Sharma’s party attacked the victim and fired a bullet. Kamal died and three youths were injured due to bullet injuries. Officers along with the police force remained in the village throughout the night and kept an eye on the atmosphere. In the morning, the police tried to perform the last rites, but the family refused. The family was adamant on the demand of arresting the main accused and running bulldozers on their houses. The police tried to convince the family for a long time, but later assured strict action. After this, when the family reached the crematorium with the body at 11 am, a large crowd gathered. During this time the atmosphere became tense, so the police had to show strictness. After this, Kamal’s younger brother Nikesh lit the funeral pyre. Meanwhile, the crowd started getting out of control many times, but the police handled the situation.
The office of the accused was sealed, the house was locked
The office of the accused is outside the village. The family is demanding to run a bulldozer on the office. They warned that if the police did not take action, they would break it themselves. After this, the police sealed the office. The house of the accused is also locked. Police force has been deployed at the house and office.
Three accused arrested
ADCP Ashok Kumar said that a case has been registered against 14 people and efforts are being made to arrest them. Three accused were arrested after the encounter, while Ajendra Tyagi, Mohit Tyagi and Sankey were arrested on Saturday.
Funeral performed on assurance
Before the funeral, the villagers have demanded one crore compensation to the victim’s family, a job for the younger brother and 5 to 10 arms licenses for the security of other villagers. People performed the last rites only after getting assurance from Additional Police Commissioner Shivhari Meena.
