In Kanpur Sisamau assembly elections, BJP and SP are trying their best to get maximum share of the total 80 thousand Dalit and Sikh, Punjabi and Sindhi voters. There are more than 40 Dalit settlements in the assembly constituency. People of all castes like Balmiki, Khatik, Kori, Jatav, Dhanuk live in it.
The interesting thing is that the votes of these settlements have been divided between SP and BJP instead of BSP, which is said to be a party with a cadre of Dalits. If we look at the situation of the last three elections, the vote bank of BSP has been continuously decreasing. In the last 40 years, BJP has not been able to get enough votes in the settlements to win. This is the reason why this time the party is working on every kind of strategy in the by-election.
On Monday, Cabinet Minister Suresh Khanna told the party officials that their full focus should be on Dalit and Sikh voters. Especially during contact in Dalit settlements, there is a need to keep your tone of speaking friendly. Anger and ignorance will not work at all. Know the problems of the people there, talk to them and then connect with you.
SP is talking about connecting with Dalits
For this, the party has appointed Panna Pramukh, Booth President, in-charges of Shakti Kendras. Similarly, Samajwadi Party is talking to the people of the settlements to join the party this time by reminding them of the work and cooperation done by its former MLA. Apart from this, if we talk about Sikhs, then there is a ratio of 60 and 40 here. That is, where will 60 percent Sikhs go and where will 60 percent go.
Responsibility given to connect Sikh voters
This depends on the strategy of the parties and the discretion of the voters. This is the reason why BJP is focusing on Sikh voters this time. BJP plans to get 80 percent of Sikh votes in its account this time. For this, a team of workers from the Sikh community has been given the responsibility of connecting Sikh voters.
Settlements are divided among different scheduled castes
Settlements of Sisamau assembly constituency are divided among different scheduled castes. In which most of the people of Balmiki and Khatik community live. It is believed that both these scheduled castes have been in favor of BJP, but which side to change at the last moment is decided in their settlement itself. Apart from this, voters of Jatav, Kori, Dhanuk community are also not tied to anyone. This is the reason why Bahujan Samaj Party has always been in third and fourth place here.
