In a shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh, a Dalit youth was brutally thrashed after being accused of theft in Ratlam district on Monday evening. The attackers tied him to a tree, stripped him of his clothes and thrashed him, leading to a fractured leg.
The victim, according to Times Now sources, who was working as a labourer in Gujarat, was returning to his village on Monday. The incident occurred in Dugni village which falls under the jurisdiction of Tal Police Station.
A police complaint was registered, following which the accused was arrested. Investigation is underway.
Rakesh Khakha, Additional Superintendent of Police, confirmed the arrests and assured that strict action would be taken against those responsible.
