Mirzapur: 10-year-old Dalit boy brutally murdered by slitting his throat, villagers angry

Kachhwa (Mirzapur). A Dalit boy has been brutally murdered by slitting his throat in Bajha village of Kachhwa police station area of ??Mirzapur district of UP. Not only this, the accused had buried the body by digging a pit inside the ground after slitting his throat.

Ashu son Sachanu (10 years) of Bajha Dalit Basti had gone out to graze goats at 4 pm. When he did not return home till late evening, the family started searching for him. People told that he was grazing goats near the gas agency near Baram Baba temple behind the village.

When the family reached there at 10 pm while searching, they saw that half the body of the child was buried in a pit with soil and a jhaad (small branch of Bablu tree) was put on top. The police reached the spot and brought the body to Kachhwa Health Center where the doctors declared him dead. Regarding this, the family members along with others kept protesting at the gate of the rural health center for three hours. At around four in the morning, on the persuasion of Superintendent of Police Abhinandan, the family members handed over the body to the police for postmortem.
