AGRA: Three youths abducted a 13-year-old Dalit girl after offering her water laced with some intoxicating substance and took turns to rape her inside a moving van while she was in a semi-conscious state in Mathura on Thursday afternoon, reports Deepak Lavania. They then dumped the minor under a flyover and fled.
When the girl regained consciousness, she went home and told her parents about her ordeal and complained of severe stomach pain. She was admitted to a private hospital, where doctors confirmed she had been raped, after which her father approached police.
The girl said she had gone to a grocery shop when a local youth offered her a bottle of water. Soon after drinking it, she felt dizzy. Two more youths came and the three forced her into a van and sped away towards a deserted stretch.
A case has been registered against three accused, who are on the run, police said Friday, adding that two of the accused have been identified.
SP (rural) Trigun Bisen said the survivor’s statement will be recorded before a magistrate on Saturday.
