Kendri Singh Sabha backs Rahul’s views
Chandigarh: Kendri Singh Sabha, a central body of Singh Sabha gurdwaras, has hailed Lok Sabha’s leader of opposition, Rahul Gandhi, for “endorsing the Sikh right to religious and cultural identity in free India”. Political thinkers associated with the Singh Sabha appreciated the Congress member for taking “a high moral ground missing so far in Indian politics, to halt the BJP’s politics of hate”.
The sabha said by upholding Sikhs’ rights, Rahul had in a way rejected and criticised his grandmother Indira Gandhi’s “policies towards Sikhs and Punjab in the 1980s”. tnn
