New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing controversy over the citizenship of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, BJP is preparing to surround him from all sides. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has knocked the door of the Supreme Court against him. At the same time, now Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has also targeted. He has said that the person sitting on the constitutional post wants the Supreme Court to fuel the anti-India narrative. Apart from this, PM Modi also targeted the entire opposition including Rahul without naming him in his Independence Day speech. Along with this, many serious allegations have been made against Rahul in a media report. At the same time, a Bangladeshi journalist has accused him of meeting Khaleda Zia’s son in London a few months before the Bangladesh violence.
Vice President Dhankhar criticized
Indirectly attacking Rahul Gandhi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed concern that a person holding a constitutional post is asking the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognizance so that ‘discussions aimed at destroying our economy’ can be fueled. Dhankhar’s remarks came after the Congress on Sunday criticized the Modi government over Hindenburg Research’s allegations against SEBI Chairman Madhavi Buch. Gandhi had said that the integrity of the market regulator has been seriously compromised and demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into the matter.
Swamy is also cornering Rahul Gandhi over his citizenship
On the other hand, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy sought a response from the Home Ministry on Rahul Gandhi’s citizenship. On not getting a response, Swamy has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against Rahul in the Supreme Court. He told in an ex-post that his associate lawyer Satya Sabharwal has filed a PIL. Earlier, Swamy approached the Delhi High Court and appealed to the Home Ministry to direct it to decide on his representation regarding the request to cancel the Indian citizenship of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Swamy has claimed that Rahul Gandhi has described himself as a British citizen in the annual return filed for a British company.
PM Modi targeted from Red Fort
Apart from this, on the occasion of Independence Day, PM Modi targeted the opposition from the Red Fort. Without taking any names, he said that we are moving forward with determination, moving very far. But it is also true that there are some people who cannot see progress. There are some people who cannot think about the good of India. They do not like anyone’s good until their own good is done. There is no dearth of people with such a distorted mentality. The country will have to avoid such people. He further said that some people are immersed in despair. When perversion grows in their lap, it becomes the cause of destruction. It becomes the cause of annihilation. It takes the path of anarchy and then the country suffers such a huge loss that it takes a lot of hard work to compensate for it. Therefore, such scattered pessimistic elements are not just disappointed, perversion is growing in their lap.
Big allegation by Bangladeshi journalist
Apart from this, a Bangladeshi journalist also made a big allegation against Rahul Gandhi. Bangladeshi journalist Salahuddin Shoaib Chaudhary claimed in a TV show that Rahul Gandhi had met Tariq Rahman, the fugitive son of Bangladesh’s radical leader Khaleda Zia during his visit to London. He claimed that in this London meeting, the US intelligence agency CIA and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI had conspired to overthrow the government of Sheikh Hasina. In that meeting, Rahul Gandhi gave his consent to this.
