Bullies beat up Dalit councillor representative: Accused of using casteist abuses, threatened to send to jail
Once again a serious allegation has been leveled against a close aide of the MLA of Bangarmau assembly constituency of Unnao. A councillor’s husband, who lives there, gave a complaint to the Bangarmau Kotwali police and said that Shubham Mishra stopped him on the way and beat him up along with his friends and threatened to send him to jail. He also used casteist abuses. He has demanded action by giving a complaint to the police. The police is investigating the matter.
According to the information, Ram son Shivraj Dhobi, a resident of Mohalla Katra Pratham of Bangarmau Kotwali area, gave a complaint and said that on Thursday evening at around 4 o’clock, he was going out for his wife’s councillor’s work. During this time, Shubham Mishra, son of Rammajan Mishra, a native of Shankarpur Babaganj, currently a resident of R.R.D.S. Inter College New Katra, Ranga alias Saroj Saini son Gopal Saini met me.
4-5 people beat me up
They said that you have lost your mind, why do you keep filing applications against me every day. When I protested against this, those two and their 3-4 other friends caught me and started kicking and punching me. Due to which I have suffered serious injuries on my body.
They also used abusive caste-related language
They said that the bullies also threatened me openly by using abusive caste related language. They said that if you complain to the police now, I will file a false case against your family and send you to jail and will not let you live in the locality. Whereas this person has strong political influence, he keeps threatening me every day. The police has assured action after investigating the complaint of the victim. Whereas about 15 days ago, an FIR has been registered against Shubham Mishra, a close aide of the MLA, in the fight that took place in Mau village of the Kotwali area, the police is giving him a free hand instead of arresting him.
