Jaipur News: There was a lot of uproar and commotion in the assembly on Monday in the case of murder of Dalit teacher Shankar Lal Meghwal. The opposition demanded justice for Shankar Lal and also raised slogans against the government, due to which the proceedings of the assembly had to be adjourned thrice. The opposition is demanding a statement from the government in this matter.
During the zero hour in the assembly, Dhariyavad MLA Thawarchand of Bharat Adivasi Party raised the issue of the recent murder of teacher Shankarlal Meghwal. The MLA accused the government in this case that compensation of one crore was given for the murder of Kanhaiyalal Taylor. Whereas only 31 lakh compensation was given for the murder of a Dalit. This discrimination is not acceptable. There are not two laws in the country, then why this discrimination? Apart from this, a family was murdered in Dhariawad three days ago, its accused should be punished.
Meanwhile, Pilani MLA Pitram Kala said that there are social reasons for such murders with Dalits. Dalit teacher of Salumbhar was killed because he had built his house at a prominent place. After this, the MLA also spoke on the cases related to the murder of Dalits. He demanded action against the guilty officers in the murders in Sikar, Bikaner, Shergarh and other places and demanded compensation of one crore. This spoils the social fabric. After this, uproar started in the House. The Leader of Opposition said that the government is not answering on the murder of Dalit. After this, the opposition members came to the well and started sloganeering.
During this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel said that those who torture Dalits, sit down, I am answering. This Congress, which tortures Dalits, is only shedding crocodile tears. Their only goal is that the proceedings of the Assembly should not run. Dalits were tortured during their rule. He said that the government will conduct a full investigation of the murder and will reply in the House in a day or two. After this, the opposition did not calm down. The sloganeering continued.
Thus, the proceedings of the House were adjourned thrice.
Due to noise and uproar in the assembly, the proceedings had to be adjourned thrice. The proceedings were adjourned for the first time at 12:45. After this, when the proceedings started again at 2:02, the opposition started sloganeering.
Seeing the uproar, Speaker Vasudev Devnani adjourned the proceedings for half an hour at 2:06. Then when the proceedings started at 2:36, the opposition continued sloganeering demanding justice. On this, as soon as Chairman Sandeep Sharma came, he adjourned the proceedings for half an hour.
The government will reply in the House tomorrow.
When the proceedings of the House started at 3.06, the opposition came to the well and raised slogans. Speaker Vasudev Devnani, who came to the chair, requested the opposition members to go to their seats and made an arrangement that the minister will reply in this regard tomorrow after the Zero Hour. After that the matter calmed down.
