A case of brutality against a Dalit woman and her husband has come to light in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Both were not only beaten up but the husband was also urinated in his mouth.

Muzaffarpur: A Dalit woman and her husband have been brutalised in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The goons have stripped and beaten the Dalit woman over a trivial matter and urinated in her husband’s mouth. The case is of Raghunathpur Madhuban of Maniyari police station area. The victim has lodged an FIR against 2 named and 3 unknown people.
What is the whole matter?
An incident that shames humanity has come to light in a village of Maniyari police station area. The goons have beaten up a Dalit family for making way for the wedding party. The goons stripped and beat the Mahadalit couple and then urinated in the woman’s husband’s mouth.
The whole matter is that a wedding procession was to come to the Mahadalit Tola for the marriage of the daughter of a neighbour. To ensure that the wedding party does not face any difficulty, the residents of the Tola had made the muddy path walkable by putting mud on it. This did not go down well with the bullies.
The angry bullies reached the spot and used casteist slurs against the Dalits and beat them up. During this, one bully attacked the head with a knife. The bullies did not spare the wife of the victim who came to rescue her after getting information about the beating and beat her up after stripping her half naked. After this, the bullies threw her husband on the ground and urinated in his mouth.
All the bullies have threatened the victim that they will kill him by setting his house on fire. The victim couple has lodged an FIR against three unknown attackers in Maniyari police station, naming the bully father-son of the same village.
The victim narrated his ordeal
The victim told that Devendra Manjhi’s daughter was getting married in Manjhi Tola. Due to mud on the road, the villagers put mud on it so that the baraatis did not fall. Enraged by this, the goons beat them up and attacked them with knives. After this, the goons urinated in their mouths. They also stripped and beat their wife.
What did the SHO say?
In this case, SHO Devvrat Kumar said that in the light of the application received, an FIR has been registered and investigation is underway. The allegations against all the accused will be investigated. If proven guilty, appropriate action will be taken. The police is investigating all points in depth.
