Surajpal became Bhole Baba in Agra
Surajpal may have originally been a resident of Bahadur Nagar, Patiyali, Etah, but he started his alleged spiritual journey from Agra itself. In the 1990s, he was a constable in SPR office, Agra. A former employee who worked with him told that Surajpal started going to different satsangs. One day he made his own volunteers. After this, he started satsangs. Small to big pandals started being built. After streets and neighborhoods, he got followers in every village. The number of people from the Dalit class was more among them. Some would pray for recovery from illness, while others would plead for running a business. When the followers increased, Surajpal resigned from his job. Soon Baba made his place as the messiah of the deprived.

Religion and superstition are different
Professor Arshad, Director of the Institute of Social Sciences, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, says that caste and class go hand in hand in Indian society. Whatever the religion may be, it shows people the way to become good. Religion and superstition should be seen separately. This needs to be understood. Superstition cannot be called religion. One should listen to the good words of any Baba.
