SaraiAkil. Dalit youth was stopped from worshipping in the temple in Jugrajpur village. On protesting, he was beaten and firing was also done. After two and a half months, on the court’s order, the police have registered a case and started investigating the incident.
Jugrajpur resident Phoolchand Saroj told that Vindeshwari Prajapati of Mainapur village of Pipri Kotwali often visits the house of neighbor Ram Bhavan. On the morning of March 17, he went to worship in the temple of Bajrangbali built in the neighborhood. At the same time, Vindeshwari was sitting with his four other friends on the platform of the temple and playing cards. On this, he asked Vindeshwari to move away from the way. It is alleged that Vindeshwari, angry with this, abused and stopped him from entering the temple. He also used casteist language and thrashed him. It is alleged that he and his friends also fired at him with a gun. Even after the victim’s complaint, the police station did not take any action. On this, he approached the court. On the court’s order, the police registered a named FIR on Sunday.
