The police team along with the village head reached the hut of groom Kashi Ram at the other end of the village.

Kashiram’s body was lying on the cot in the hut. Both hands of Kashi Ram were tied. Kashiram was bleeding from his eyes and nose. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for postmortem. In fact, unknown people brutally murdered a Dalit Sadhu named Kashi Ram Arya by strangulating him in Bhairodas Kuti outside Makrandpur village of Khairighat area. Sadhu was a resident of Rehua Mansoor village under Kashiram police station Ramgaon area. For the last five years, he was living in a hut outside the village in Makrandpur village.

Kashiram Arya (70), resident of Rehua Mansoor of Ramgaon police station area, used to worship at the ancient Bhairav Baba temple located in Makrandpur Gram Panchayat of Khairighat police station area. His body was seen lying on the bed in the hut on Wednesday afternoon, during which his hands were tied. On receiving information about the incident, Sanjay Singh, station in-charge of local police station Khairighat, reached the incident site and inspected it. After which the district forensic team also reached the spot. Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police of the district, Dr. Pavitra Mohan Tripathi, after inspecting the incident site, has asked the police team to unveil the incident site soon.
