Rape of Dalit girl in Deoria: Young man caught while going towards the fields, left the village and absconded after the brutality

A case of rape of a teenage girl who was going alone towards the fields in the evening in a village of Deoria district has come to light. On the complaint of the girl’s mother, a case has been registered against the youth under relevant sections. As soon as the information about the case being registered was received, the accused youth absconded. The police is raiding the possible hideouts of the young man to arrest him.

In the evening, in a village of Rampur Karkhana police station area of the district, a Dalit girl was going alone towards the fields. Meanwhile, the young man sitting on the culvert pressed the girl’s mouth, took her under the culvert and raped her. After this the young man ran away from there.

The crying teenager came home and narrated her ordeal to her mother. When the family members of the victim went to the accused’s house to complain, the family members of the accused youth used caste-related abuses and beat him up. On Saturday, the mother reached the police station with her daughter and lodged a complaint against the accused youth. After investigation late in the evening, a case was registered against the accused.

Police Station Head Santosh Singh said that on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered under SC/ST Act including rape, POCSO. Efforts are being made to arrest the accused.
