Minor girl murdered in Bengaluru, suspicion of revenge action by upper caste youth
Bengaluru. An upper caste youth allegedly killed a minor Dalit girl in an act of revenge in Anugondanahalli police station area of Bengaluru Rural district on Friday. The ninth class girl was missing for three days. His body was found by shepherd boys on the outskirts of the village on Thursday. According to the police, the girl’s parents have said that Nitin, an upper caste boy from the village, had molested her 20 days ago.
The girl had informed her parents about the incident. Although they came forward to lodge a complaint with the police, the village elders intervened and got them a settlement. The girl went missing three days after the agreement. The parents allege that their daughter had raised her voice against molestation, so he could not agree to it and murdered her. After the murder was revealed, Nitin had tried to cut his throat. Anugondanahalli police has started investigating the matter. Bengaluru Rural SP Mallikarjun Baladandin, while speaking to IANS on Friday, said that the accused youth was not in a position to speak. He has been admitted to the hospital and is under police observation. “Once he recovers we will be able to confirm the allegations against him and find out the true reason behind the murder.”
