In Shanti Niketan Colony located in the city area, bullies abused and attacked a Dalit man. The bone of one of his legs was broken by using an iron rod. The city police has registered a report against two named and unknown others.
Sudhir Kumar, son of Chandrapal Singh, resident of Shanti Niketan Colony in Nagar Kotwali, gave a complaint and said that he had gone to his maternal uncle’s house in Shanti Niketan Colony itself. Accused Prahlad Singh, Deepak and two other unknown people who were already present there started abusing him. He was beaten by using caste related words. One of his legs was broken by being hit with an iron rod. The victim said that he was badly abused by using caste related words. The city police has registered a report against the accused and started investigation. The police station in-charge said that the matter will be investigated and strict action will be taken against the accused.
