The organizers of the story were thrown to the ground and beaten. The statue of Saint Ravidas was also vandalized. Even the chairs kept in the pandal were broken.
People threatened the Dalit community. Said, if Buddhist Katha is organized in the village now, dead bodies will be raised. The police have registered an FIR against the accused. For security reasons, PAC and heavy police force have been deployed in the village. The police have taken four accused into custody and are interrogating them. The incident took place in Pahewa village of Sadh police station area.

Ram Sagar Paswan, resident of Pahewa village of Saadh police station area, said, a Buddhist story was organized in the village late on Monday night. Angered by this, people from other castes attacked the Dalit community late in the night. Along with the people conducting the story, others were dragged and beaten with sticks. After this there was violence and firing. Gave a warning and said, if such an event takes place in the village now, we will shoot.
Ram Sagar Paswan said, people from other class damaged the statue of Ravidas. The venue was completely destroyed by breaking the chairs and tables kept there. People of the community somehow saved their lives by running away.
Police reached the village on information. Took information from people about the incident.
The attackers escaped before the police arrived.
As soon as information about the matter was received, ACP Abhishek Pandey, in-charge of Sadh police station reached the spot with heavy force. But by then the accused had fled from the spot. Based on the complaint of victim organizer Ram Sagar Paswan, the police have registered a report against 8 people under serious sections including rioting, assault, robbery, SC-ST Act. Along with this, 4 accused have been detained.

Police of Sadh police station has registered a report against Ghatampur MLA Saroj Puri’s PRO Manish Tiwari, Chandrabhan Mishra, Golu Mishra, Shivam Mishra, Jeetu Mishra, Arun Kotedar, Kinnar Mishra, Vishambhar Mishra in the case of attack. It is alleged that all of them, along with goons, attacked the venue and beat them fiercely.
Bhim Army workers reached village, PAC and police forces deployed
Here, as soon as information about the incident was received, Bhim Army workers reached the village. Sat at the venue demanding action against anarchist elements. The police officers present here explained to the people and asked them to extinguish the fire and get the statue installed. Even after this the villagers are adamant on the demand of calling the SDM. In view of the tense atmosphere in the village, PAC force has been deployed along with heavy police force.
In view of the anger of the people in the village, police and PAC personnel have been deployed.
Police are interrogating four people in custody
Ghatampur ACP Dinesh Kumar Shukla said, 4 people are being detained and interrogated. A program was organized every year in the village. The incident is being investigated. The accused will be arrested soon and action will be taken.
