Sonipat: In Bahalgarh, a Dalit youth was chased and beaten, robbed of money and his bike set on fire
Sonipat Crime News In Khevda, the bullies abused a Dalit youth by pointing out his caste. On protesting, the accused started fighting. Snatched the young man’s purse in which there were two thousand rupees. After this, the young man’s bike was set on fire. After that the attackers reached the young man’s house and threatened to kill him if he informed the police.
Sonepat, Jagran Correspondent. In Khevda village of Bahalgarh police station area, miscreants hurled abuses at a Dalit youth pointing out his caste. When the youth protested, they started fighting. When the young man escaped with the help of his bike, the goons chased him and surrounded him on the way. He was injured by beating. Not only this, the miscreants snatched the money from the young man and also set his bike on fire.
Now the accused are threatening to kill the young man. After this incident, there is fear in the Dalit class in the village. On the other hand, the police have started searching for the accused by registering charges under relevant sections.
Verbal abuse
Ajay’s son Rajendra caste Valmiki, a resident of Ambedkar Colony in Khewra, told the police that he had gone to Bahalgarh for some work on Friday night. There they found Rohit, Mohit and Dev alias Kundu. All three of them are also residents of Khevda. All three started abusing unnecessarily. The said three quarreled with him and hurled abuses targeting the caste. When protested, the accused started fighting. Ajay somehow escaped on his bike.
Youth’s bike was set on fire
The goons chased Ajay on their bikes and overtook him in front of the CRPF camp and stopped him. Took out the key of his bike and threatened to shoot. Ajay told that when he started running from there to save his life, the attackers snatched his purse. There were two thousand rupees in the purse. After this Ajay’s bike was set on fire. After that the attackers reached Ajay’s house and threatened to kill him if he informed the police.
The search for the accused continues
The people around informed the police. On coming to know about the police arrival, the attackers fled. All the three accused are residents of the same village. According to Inspector Rishikant Singh, SHO, based on the complaint, reports have been registered for loot, assault, arson and SC-ST. The accused are being searched. There is no tension in the village.
