VISAKHAPATNAM: Anakapalle district police arrested three persons, including a woman, in connection with the murder of a Dalit youngster.
It may be recalled that 23-year-old VV Nagendra was found murdered in a well near a farm field with his hands and legs tied with a plastic rope at PL Puram village in Payakaraopeta police station limits in Anakapalle district on February 27.
The arrested were M Rajesh (21), B Venkatesh (28) and S Padma (32). Rajesh and Padma, who had a grudge against Nagendra, decided to eliminate him and they sought the help of Padma’s brother Venkatesh.
As per their plan, Padma called Nagendra on February 27 night and invited him to a small party. When he arrived for the party, the trio pounced on him and smothered him to death.
