1st transgender to get loan in PM plan

Hyderabad: For the first time, a transgender was sanctioned a loan to set up a self-employment unit under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme in Karimnagar on Tuesday. Ashadam Asha will set up a photo studio with loan of 5 lakh.

Karimnagar collector RV Karnan said it was for the first time in state that a transgender was sanctioned a loan to set up self-employment unit. In another first, a transgender Nakka Sindhu was given four-wheeler driving licence. tnn
