In Tamil Nadu, Anto Mathivanan, son of DMK leader and MP I Karunanidhi, and his wife have faced serious charges. Both of them were accused of torture, torture, murder, burning the domestic help and not providing her with medical care. The allegations were made by an 18-year-old girl who worked as a domestic help in her home for Rs 16,000 per month. The girl hails from a scheduled caste and worked as a domestic helper after completing her 12th to get a chance to coach NEET.

This issue is from Chennai. According to media reports, an 18-year-old girl from Tirunundram village in Kallakurichi district made the allegations. According to him, in April 2023, he was hired by an agency to work at Anto Mathivanan’s house. These people threatened the deputy that he was the son or daughter-in-law of the deputy, and beat him if he made a small mistake in his work.
The girl said MP Karunanidhi’s daughter-in-law Marlina N also grabbed her phone after beating her. When the girl said she had to quit, he refused. The girl is good in studies and scored more than 70 percent marks in 12th examination. His dream is to clear NEET, study MBBS and become a doctor.
According to Indian Express, in her complaint to the DGP, the girl said that Merlina stripped her, beat her and made her drink chili water. Not only that, Anto Mathivanan also defeated him. He was neither paid for the work nor threatened to become the lawmaker’s son-in-law if he told anyone. He continued to endure all this. But when he came home on January 15 on the occasion of Pongal, his family members came to know about his injury. After that, on January 16, the doctor of the state hospital notified the police and filed a complaint.
In this matter, the women police of Nilangarai reached the hospital and interrogated the girl, after which the matter came to light. In this case, a video of the girl narrating the atrocities committed against her also appeared. Now the non-governmental organization “Dalil” has also intervened in this matter and filed a complaint with the DGP. It is noted that the girl had wounds on her forehead and eyes. In addition, both hands were burned.
